Who Are We?

Founded by Mr. Samuel Bernadin in 2023, BanFest is an annual banquet-festival in Canada's National Capital Region that aims to promote Haitian culture through its cuisine. BanFest seeks to highlight the unique culinary art of Haitian restaurateurs in the region, with the support of influential members of the community.

Margo

Margo is a veritable invitation to culinary travel, offering a range of traditional Haitian dishes such as griot, legume, tassot cabrit and dumplings, as well as Canadian classics like chicken wings, hot dogs and poutine. Each bite transports diners into a warm, exotic atmosphere, where the rich, spicy flavors of the Caribbean mingle with a Canadian touch.

Créolement Vôtre

This Creole bistro revisits Haitian cuisine with a healthy, refined approach. From crispy Haitian pâtés to tasty sandwiches, healthy bowls and gourmet desserts, each dish is designed to offer an explosion of authentic flavors. Vegetarian options are also available, guaranteeing a varied offering for all palates.

Boukannen Bar & Grill

BanFest is proud to welcome Boukannen Bar & Grill, a cozy and flavorful spot tucked away on Center Street in Ottawa. Known for its generous portions and home-style Haitian cooking, Boukannen offers a mouthwatering selection of grilled meats, bold traditional dishes, and refreshing Rubicon beverages. This hidden gem is where authentic flavor meets a warm local vibe, a must-visit for lovers of rich Caribbean taste.

JJ's Wings

JJ's Wings reinvents chicken wings with the intensity of Haitian flavors. Located in the heart of Ottawa, this food truck stands out for its chicken wings marinated in traditional spices, fried to perfection to offer the perfect balance between crispiness and tenderness. The chicken bites, breaded on site, reveal an explosion of authentic flavor.
